The mystery that Paul refers to is that now Gentiles can be, and are, members of the same body because of Jesus. Gentiles now have equal footing. All of us have equal footing before God. And if you think through Paul’s letter so far, this encompasses everything we have been talking about.

Paul is saying to both these people groups who are so very alienated from each other – because of what Jesus did, not only are you brought close to him, but you are brought close to each other.
