Call to Worship
Easter may be behind us on the calendar, but the story isn’t over—Jesus is still alive, still moving, still changing lives. And today, we gather not just to celebrate that truth, but to live it out.
This morning, we’re thinking especially about the young people in our community—our kids, and our teens, especially. They’re growing up in a world that’s moving fast, often uncertain, and sometimes overwhelming. But they’re also full of energy, creativity, and potential. And they need us.
They need us to show up for them. To listen without judgment. To cheer them on. To create safe spaces where they can be exactly who they are and who they’re becoming. You’ll hear more about that in a little while.
So as we worship today, we also make a quiet promise—to be the kind of community that lifts up the next generation with love, wisdom, and support in real ways.
Let’s pray together.
Prayer
God, thank You for new life—both in the Easter story and in our everyday lives. Thank You for every young person You’ve placed in this community. They are not just the future—they’re part of our right now.Help us to be the kind of people who see them, who value them, who walk alongside them. Give us patience when things get messy, grace when we fall short, and open hearts to keep learning. Let our church be a place where young people feel safe, inspired, and deeply loved.
We want to follow Your lead, Jesus—welcoming, encouraging, and always making room for the next generation. We love You, and we trust You with all of this.

Prayer
Jesus, we thank You.
We thank You for the cross where love was poured out, where sin was defeated, where grace was made visible in its most powerful form. We thank You for the empty tomb. the final word that death is not the end, that hope lives, and that new life is possible through You.
We thank You for seeing each one of us, even in the places where we feel buried in doubt, disappointment, or despair. Even when we have wandered from You, questioned You, or felt far from You, You have never stopped loving us. You have never stopped calling our names.
Today, Lord, we come before You as we are, tired, wounded, searching, or unsure.
We bring our heartbreak and our hidden pain. We bring the questions that keep us up at night and the faith that feels worn thin. We bring the burdens we’ve carried silently, the shame we can’t seem to shake, and the grief we’re still trying to understand.
We ask You, Jesus—call our names again. Just as You spoke Mary’s name in the garden, speak into the fog of our lives. Wake up what has died inside us. Breathe Your Spirit into the dry places of our hearts. Resurrect our faith. Reignite our passion. Restore what has been broken.
Remind every soul here that they are known and deeply loved.
Today, we choose to say yes to You.
Yes to grace.
Yes to healing.
Yes to the hope that cannot be shaken.
Yes to following You with everything we are.May the power of Your resurrection shape how we live, how we love, and how we hope. We believe, Lord. Help us in our unbelief. We are Yours, now and forever.

As we go from this place, may the risen Christ go with you—ahead of you to lead, behind you to protect, beside you to befriend, and within you to give you peace.
May you walk in the light of resurrection hope, with eyes open to see the young among us—to hear their voices, honor their questions, and celebrate their gifts. Let us be a church that not only welcomes youth, but lifts them, learns from them, and loves them fiercely.
Go now in in peace and go with a renewed commitment to build a community where every generation can thrive in Christ.
